What I don’t understand is why people delete the text underneath the photos I post saying exactly where the photo was taken, which other people then reblog and take random guesses as to where the photo is. Then it gets spread around that it’s a certain place, when all you have to do is link back to my original post to see it’s not. Yet nobody bothers to check, and then a place that is clearly labelled as England gets spread around as Anywheretown, France. Why delete the text underneath in the first place? I don’t get it.

I know some pictures and places I post aren’t the epitome of ‘fairy tale’, but beyond the name of this blog, I like to post pictures that represent that particular area, that bring out some sort of emotional or physical pull to those who look at it. Maybe the buildings are run down or the houses aren’t the most beautiful in the world, but to somebody out there who looks at this blog, that place is home, or it is somewhere that holds strong memories or desires. I’ve received the occasional remark as to why I would ever post such and such a photo that looks nothing like a ‘fairy tale land’. Try looking at the place through somebody else’s lens. It may not be a fairy tale place to you, but to somebody else, it may be the greatest place in the world.

• When requesting, please make sure the city/place you’d like to see has not been posted recently (i.e. in or around the past two months).
• Popular cities include St. Petersburg, Moscow, Munich, London, Paris, etc.
• I would hate to refuse a request based on the fact that it has already been done in the recent past, so please be aware of this.

just an FYI 

many people are requesting some of the same cities repeatedly, not on purpose of course, but i would check if there is anything recent from that city/country on my blog before requesting it, so as there aren’t too many repetitions. thank you! :)
